CHALLENGE

Global B2B corporations need sometime help to assess the attractiveness of new market. Sometime it is important using an external unbiased analysis of the opportunity, in order to avoid a simple me-too approach that would not generate enough value. This is the challenge we tried to address in a compressed timing.

SOLUTION

Leading such an Innovation initiative for the client has offered the opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of the ORL Innovation methodology. It has been used as a role-model for the rest of the organisation. It showed how a focused structured approach allowed to explore the entire Market potential, keeping into consideration all the dimensions that would influence any new Innovation (such as Market Value Chain, Customer structure, Market cycle, value creation, trends & future synergies). Defining Business Model hypothesis relevant to support proposed value proposition offer, was key to define the business case.

IMPACT

Thanks to the ORL methodology, different Business Model scenarios were reviewed and presented to Management. The complete Innovation cycle up to final decision process has been accelerated with this pilot project.
